What's going on???

2008... The most chaotic year of this millennium so far. Food crisis in poor countries, then inflation in India and other few developing countries and now the fire-spitting dragon alike "Economic Downturn". The words or phrases like "Economic Downturn", "Economic crisis", "Global meltdown" have become so popular that even a very less educated kirana wallah, vendors etc can give you an thunderous reaction over it, sorry of being condescending but its true. The another reason may be all the acts of "Blame and Gain" agenda of other political parties on the incumbent Congress to incite the rage within the distraught people who have lost their jobs, the businessmen whose business has been marred, the brokers of Dalaal street..
What are being done by other developed countries? The victory of Obama for most coveted USA president post, who took his oratory skills to woo American voters by his "Yes, we can" speech, had taken some as usual and most common of all steps like giving fiscal stimulus package of $780 billion to take out financial banks out of liquidity crunch and infuse the amount in public to increase the consumer spending and thus kickstart the stopped industrial work. G-20 summit in the first week of April in London, being called as London-Summit, would be seen by the international masses as a meeting of their Economic redemption. I hope, they will take some stringent measures rather than again giving some fiscal package as the leaked draft of this communique shows.
OK, whatever i mentioned above is just what has been done by the developed and developing countries? But, what is the need of the hour?
Firstly, i would say shed of your prejudiced liking of "protectionism". Protectionism will lead nowhere but suffering of common people. Lifting trade barriers and making your market accessible to foreign investors is the most appropriate solution of this impasse. "The comparative advantage" theory states that do only those things at which you are adept, have an arsenal of technological innovation because those things only u can manufacture cost effectively. So, why not open ur market and have people the privilege of buying those things only which are cheaper despite of forcing people to buy domestic-made things which are relatively costlier and not much soothing to use.
The second point is that you can see the growth history of India after the "license raj" was ended, thanks to highly respected Manmohan Singh and more importantly Gulf war which led India to ask IMF for money and they, in return, asked India to shed of its policy of high tariffs on commodities and the tedious process of get license to start your firm in India. Since then, the foreign investment and MNCs have put India on the track of high growth, which India boasts now. The Indian GDP has its major stake in service Industry which comprises 55% of GDP. So, thanks to these Foreign companies, nevertheless Indian IT giants like Infosys, Wipro and TCS.

Thirdly, the protest by Environmentalist of G-20 summit has a point. In nay such international event, only the commitment of going Green and the effect of Global warming is reiterated. when they will act? This is being asked by environmentalists. Obama's fiscal package has some share for developing renewable resources can be seen as a small stride in this field to spur "Going Green" call. I am doing some work of developing Offshore Wind Farm to generate green electricity and i noticed that in spite of large initial investment, it has a very large direct monetary profit and indirectly it may get subsidies by government. So, why not harness the high wind speed in Oceans to light bulbs? Reliance industries and other companies in India should invest in these fields and its time to act for the Government, Stop bickering about communal partisanship, blaming on each other and start delivering in promises you are making. This Will not only lead to zero carbon emissions in the environment but also lead to other ancillary industries of making the infrastructure, will give employment to people. So, its time to cat not only for Government but the people who want better life rather than living by their religious and caste prejudices. START ACTING!!

A Perverted Act!!

[I am neither a male chauvinist nor a supporter of Muthalik and his Moral policing.]

A novel protest has been started by four young women, self-styled "Pub-going, loose, forward women" called the "Pink Chaddi" campaign, where they urged a peaceful Gandhain protest to all of India, by sending pink underwear ("Chaddi") to Muthalik’s office on Valentine’s day.

So, first of all, I would like to ask you so called self-styled "Pub-going, loose, forward women" women, what is Gandhian Approach??

“Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love.”- Gandhi

What do I think of Western civilization? I think it would be a very good idea.”- Gandhi

“ They cannot take away our self-respect if we do not give it to them.”- Gandhi

Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him.”- Gandhi

These are the quotes of Gandhi. So Miss (or Mrs., whatever) Susan, do u really see your protest following Gandhian Approach? Your acts defy Gandhian philosophy, his definition of Non-violent protest.

You have not shown love to those hooligans (decent and calm protest). Your spirit has been so deeply hurt and all these acts are in retaliation to soothe your wounds, so it is the internal violence of spirit. Your pink chaddi campaign is not a testimony of western culture either.( have gays in USA protest like this way?). So how do u call your protest – A Gandhian protest? In fact you are so hurt deep down that you have to take this absurd, obnoxious way to retaliate not protest. In fact, you have demoralized the Gandhi and also brought a bad name to the elite, educated and self-reliable women across d nation whom you r allegedly representing by yourself. Let me tell u an analogy and u must have seen anywhere. Have u ever seen weak person getting beaten by some stronger one? The weak person always start abusing when he can’t hit him back.. You have done the same, metaphorically by sending pink chaddi.

Ok one more thing, I read somewhere u have given an interview in which u said ,”The chaddi is slang for right-wing hardliners and the saffron agenda, while pink stands for things that are frivolous”. First of all, Pink color doesn't represent Rightist. You are adoring them by saying all these words. In fact, the illiterate Muthalik won’t be knowing its meaning. So, doesn’t it hurt the feelings of a rightist?

For your information.....

Originally, during the French Revolution, Right-wing referred to seating arrangements in parliament; those who sat on the right supported the monarchy and aristocratic privilege.Today, the term Right is used to describe political groups who stress the importance of conspectuses like nationalism, tradition and religion and who oppose socialism and communism . They are conservative and reactionary but what Muthalik and his bunch of goons has done that is Talibanism. They are revoking your freedom ur constitution gives u. So, that’s not what Right-wing do.

Now, what about pink? You say pink stands for frivolous things. So, you r protesting against these hooligans using frivolous things. Give it a weight, babe (sorry self-styled, loose and advanced woman; I would rather not say women because I don’t want to disrespect a lot of other advanced women), So, let me clarify u, pink might be your favorite color for your lingerie which u would be showing off quite a while being flirtatious. But pink color does mean a lot .. In fact, in the semantics of shade, pink conveys a power of meaning.

All over the world, including India, gays and lesbians are coming out of the mothballed closet of obscurantist morality into the unabashed light of day in public shows of solidarity often referred to as pink parades. One doesn't necessarily have to belong to the gay persuasion to march in a pink parade. Anyone who believes that in a true democracy the right to choose one's sexual identity is as much a fundamental right as the right to choose one's political candidate in an election, or the right to choose one's spiritual belief in the form of a religion is free to participate in a parade where people can wear their pink hearts on their sleeves without guilt or the fear of social censure, and worse.

Pink has long signified romantic love

Pink is associated not only with Cupid (Roman God of love) but also with a very different type of infatuation, namely soft-core communism. Anyways, that’s enough for your brain.

So, you have defiled Gandhian philosophy and also misinterpreted the semantic meaning of Pink. Therefore, Go and study “Gandhivad”.

You are no different than Muthalik. He wanted fame, political recognition and being called as the perpetrator of Moral policing and like him you also want to be called a social activist, the leading women in d pink chaddi campaign.. you have been successful too as I heard about 25000 pink chaddis have been sent to Muthalik. So 25000 followers…great work babe. You wanted your picture on newspaper, senseless interviews in some magazines.so u have got one.. Now, I would like to ask you why don’t you protest against women trafficking, dowry system, forced prostitution… because you wear “why-i-should-care-when-i-m-not-getting-assaulted" attitude on your sleeve?
